Lands administered by National Park Service ( and US Forest Service) default to the same carry laws as the surrounding State . ( Notwithstanding specific Federal rules for government buildings, localized rules for specific recreation facility , etc .)

But 8n general BW Pkwy follows Maryland law , and GW Pkwy follows VA law , except for the couple hundred yards by Teddy Roosevelt Island that pass through DC ( DC law there) .
    That's what I thought. Things haven't changed.

It’s the paper bag in your lap that I question. Becomes moot on October 1 when the handgun has to be in a locked case.

Something else to consider. Several ranges require that all magazines be empty to enter the range, even if one has a carry permit. Of course LEO's are exempt from these rules.
Criminals love ranges with these rules. Much safer to target guns for theft from those exiting.

That's individual Range policy . ZERO legal basis , and very minimal practical purpose .

    OK, wanted to update everyone.

I got some items and made some trips.

It is a really cool hobby.

    Appreciate everyone's advice.

I definitely handle my 9MM easier than my 357, but I am getting used to the short barrel.

My understanding.... in HoCo, you can't shoot anywhere, regardless of acreage, right? In other words, even if you bought a farm with 20+ acres, you can't shoot on it, right?

I know in PA, this is totally different.

I'm sure our favorite very expansive Lawyer , formerly if HoCo will stop by with all the details .

IIRC - Certain locations and details , you could Actually Hunt certain things in season .

But informal or semi formal target shooting / practice , big negatory .
