I used to run Red Dot back in the day because I also used it for shotgun. Now I run Titegroup under 230 LRN and 200 LSWC.

I concur. When I started loading 45's (ACP & LC) I couldn't find 231

Speer 200 JHP the old ones by chance. The ones that look like craters on the moon thru a telescope.just one big hollow point...picked those up many years ago and use for special loadsit's a shame they aren't like that anymore, have a few boxes of the Speer Lawman ammo with that same bullet in them.

Yeap, those are the ones. I have a couple of boxes left.

And also, like you, I have a couple of boxes of Speer ammo loaded with them.

The big hollow point bites into the pins with off center hits.

Yes sir that's them, switched from lead H&G's, some other bullets to them,
if I knew that Speer would change the design I should of either bought more
or shot less, but hey they "ripped" those pins up, they just dug in.. Man I miss those days...

Sent them a email, about it, just curious myself, I'm thinking maybe feeding
issues, or maybe better ballistics, we shall find out, only problem I have was
a feeding problem in the AMT Long Slide before the feed ramp was blended
of course some of the AMT Hardballers just liked ball ammo.

Speer discontinued the "ash-tray" for the Gold Dot and from what I
heard retired the machine the did those bullets and jacket issues?
