NEW TACTICAL ARM BRACES?

Forgive me if this has been covered.Just back from the gunshop bitching about having to do a trust or register my sbr.

The owner told they have arm braces,I said yeah but they look like shit.

He said they have new tactical ones,showed me some pics and they look sweet.

Too good to be true?

Do you have any specific examples of these "tactical arm braces"? I've heard that there was an ATF press conference where they briefed the industry on the complexities of prosecuting a case against someone who shoulders a pistol brace. The ATF claimed they would have an extremely difficult time proving in a court of law that a pistol brace has come in to contact with a persons shoulder as it could appear to be, but be 1/4" off and still be legal.

Looks're in the eye of the beholder.
If you're asking about the legality of arm braces vis-a-vis NFA laws, this is a murky subject and highly dependent on who you ask....and when. I'd recommend that you do a bit of reading (via the Search) in the NFA forum, so you can make a reasonably informed decision. The topic's been covered ad nauseum.

I use a KAK Shockwave on my 10.5" AR. Looks nice IMO. I think dreadpirate has a similar setup and has posted pictures before.

They are hard to get now. I was on their waiting list for a year and a half. They emailed me the day it hit the market. I bought one. I should have bought a couple.

I hope the market continues to get flooded with any and all variations of braces. Would likely make removing SBR/SBS from NFA that much probable. eventually.

As long as shouldering​ is legal, I think we'll see a surge in AR pistol w/ brace popularity.
