Difference between this and the M11-A1?
Im considering a sig and was thinking 226, but also the M11.

Size and capacity are the main differences.

P225 is a single stack with 8 rounds and shorter barrel.
M11 is double stack with 15 rounds, longer barrel.

Size wise from smallest to largest:

    P225 to M11 to P226

Can't go wrong with any Sig....:D

Thanks for info! At first they looked similar.
I am hesitant to drink the Sig coolaid, but everyone is still alive and shooting! So I guess I'll have to jump onto the bandwagon.

    Your welcome.

I would say go to your LGS, lay them all out and compare.

Might even consider looking at the P229, basically a M11 with a rail.

If your come down this way, 2A has all of them.

The 229 is a terrible concealed carry gun, I know because I carried one for over 13 years. The 229 without a rail is one of the prettiest pistols ever.

The 225 is a better carry gun because being single stack and a slightly longer handgrip. Perfection for me. This is more of a "combat gun" than the 239.

    Without a rail? Please.

I'll put my 229 Elite Enhanced up against anything in the looks compartment.

    I pick this up today.

Its a little heavy but I like the way it fits my hand.
Really didn't pay attention before but it has a shaved down slide release and decocker.

Now to clean it and some range time.
