Walked in looking to bid for a FN49 (30-06) and walked out with 3 additional pieces. The turn out was low for firearms since the action was about antique furniture. It was an early Christmas.

That PPK is gorgeous! Dare I ask how much that set you back?

I almost don't want to know... I bought one of similar vintage but not quite as pretty a few months ago.

Yeah, I didn't want to know that. I paid $1000 on Gunbroker. Yours looks nicer. Enjoy!

Thanks. I was at the right place and time. The prices were too good to pass on. No one showed interest in the firearms and I wished I had more cash available for oher items. They're fun to shoot and it always attracts attention at the range. Enjoy yours.

I need to get to some of these gun auctions. It seems like some of them go stupid high, but at others people get phenomenal deals.

I would have pulled the trigger on the PPK for sure (I'm still trolling for just the right pre-war example with 90 deg safety). Good job!
