New "old stock" grips for my Mark I

1968 Mark I that was my papaws, I've had it for several years now and just happened across these walnut grips. I like them much better than the black ones that it originally came with, what you guys think?

Does anyone know where I can purchase some factory magazines for this piece, I'm can't seem to locate any. Also what wood preservers would y'all recommend?

I would have to agree, it was like getting a new gun when I put them on so I decided to show it off a little.

Mk II mags will work in it. Works in mine. Toes are different though.

I found them on E(vil)Bay there is a guy that usually always has them for sale for $49.95 but I waited a while and got these for half that. There was also used sets in walnut for $14 and pearl set for $???.

I wasn't aware 4 toed sloths were allowed to purchase firearms in Maryland. Hmmm.

I forgot to tell you, you need to move the follower stud on the opposite side of the mag.

Actually the hair is just so blonde its almost invisible, maybe next time I'll put some of the old ladys mascara on em to make it stand out, or I might just wear some socks. My toes have got as much action on this thread as my pistol has, I'm flattered.

Howard Feed-N-Wax. It is a wood polish and conditioner with Beeswax and Orange oil. I use it for all my wood stocked guns and furniture. I leave it on overnight and sometimes use 2 coats. You can buy it at Home Depot
