A vote for cloture is a vote for Sb281.

    Simple. That is the message.

We will not be fooled by them voting for cloture and then voting against the bill knowing it has enough to pass.

Stone has been against this from the time it was in the Senate commitee... No reason to think he'd back down now. He's an Edgemere boy... We like our guns down there! :D

It would be helpful if someone made public whatever threats/promises the Gov is making to get these people in his pocket.

Tell Brochin's lying ass that if he votes for cloture he'll have no where to hide in '14.

Not even on the Republican ticket.

Here's the e-mail I just sent to Miller:
    Mr. Miller,

As an American, and as a Calvert County resident (District 27), I urge you to set aside your partisan urges and vote based on common sense.

There has been many questions during this debate, but not many answers coming from the SB281 supporters. I have yet to hear anyone tell us how, exactly, these draconain laws will stop criminals. The recent failing of an ammendment that would now allow criminals plea bargains when using guns in the commission of a crime is just another reason to question the vailidty of your position, and the position of others in Annapolis.

Statistics, testimony, overwhelming numbers of those in opposition are just a few things I have seen during this process. Personally, I feel as if you have not taken those numbers, nor the voices of your constituants into consideration when voting for this bill.

Your recent quote in the Capital Gazette, "If I can vote for it [SB281] with Beretta in my district, anybody can vote for it,” troubles me the most. http://www.capitalgazette.com/news/g...bbff590d5.html

Beretta, LWRC, and Adcor Defense are the top 3 firearms manufacturing firms in MD. Collectively, they account for 570+ employees and 150+ contractors who all pay taxes, as well as over $50 Million paid in state and federal taxes. you should also note that Beretta donated $2,000 to you.

According to an annual survey of CEOs and top executives, Maryland has been in a steady decline as far as overall business environment is concerned. 29th place in 2011, and 40th place in 2012. By alienating such a major aspect of your own district is bound to send Maryland farther down the list in 2013.

Let it be known, I have also contacted the following companies identified as major contributors to let them know of your opposition to common sense gun laws that will actually stop criminals, and not place unnecessary burdens on law abiding citizens.

I see 300 people viewing this subforum. Go MAKE CALLS!

The fact that I've been able to make 2 calls without a busy tone and actually getting emails back from JoAnne (Stone's assistant) shows that people aren't doing willing to defend.

They should be so swamped that you have to dial multiple times to get through and overwhelmed with the number of faxes/email
