Needing help: mossberg 500 sp

I bought a mossberg 500 special purpose and since have wanted to put on a rear sight to it. I've been having issues with this and most recently bought the hi viz magnetic sight combo (c400-1) model. It said on brownells.com it would fit mossberg, but maybe I missed something.

Can anyone help me find a rear sight that would work? Banks!

Umm, isn't that an aluminum frame?

I believe it is steel.

Mossberg recievers are aluminum. Take to gunsmith. Want a Mossberg with iron sights? Mossberg 590A1

On mine I got the center grooved Picatinny rail in the back and I made a 1/4"riser for a fiber optic front sight in the front. Once you have the picatinny on the reciever you can get a clamp on barrel rail and use AR BUIS or get the ghost ring setup you see on most tactical shotguns.

Check Brownells or Midway. I forget who makes them but for what most sights cost I have taken to making my own.
