I need to have a stock shortened and new recoil pad fitted. The person I used in the past is retired.
Any recommendations for someone in MD, NoVa or PA?
I know this is not that difficult a job but the shotgun is kind of expensive. I have been fitted so I know my dimensions. Thanks for any info.

I asked the same question a few weeks ago and apparently no one knows who can do it. There's a smith near me who can but since they had my AR upper for 8 months and weren't very truthful to me about what was going on with it I can't recommend them.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I will send it off to someone.
It is kind of odd that there is no one in the area that does this type of work since there quite a few ranges in the area.

When my late wife had her 20ga Browning Gold built she had it both cut down and a hydraulic recoil dampener put into the stock. She bought it from the Gun Shack in Mt. Airy but I don't know if it was done by the same gunsmith they used to use who lived there in Mt. Airy or whether they sent it out.

I'd start by checking with Bart's in Glen Burnie, but that's close to me and would be easy to check. I know they sell some nice shotguns there.

I'd 2nd Barts. I know he does stock fitting. Also Brown's Gunsmithing in Westminster has a good rep.

You might also call PG Trap and Skeet and see if they can suggest someone.
