Outstanding job as usual! We've come to expect no less.

(There's this little thing called the Hatch Act that's currently sidelining me from this particular round, but you can expect to see me back on the bricks when the focus returns to non-partisan 2A issues.)

Debate Winner Kathy Szeliga with her Maryland Shooter Sign Warriors just after the debate.

That's Magnumst, R&R, Raineman, Deep Lurker and Stoveman. (Our other four crew members had to book out earlier to make their commitments.)

    Great crew to work with!

The real bonus was sitting down with Kathy just after the debate for post-debate analysis. This is the Owl Bar at the Belvedere Hotel just up the street from the U. of Balmer. Thanks to Stoveman for grabbing the shot.

Again, when you see them, say thanks to our Sign Siege MDS crew:

    Stoveman
    Magnumst
    Raineman
    Dogbone
    Deep Lurker
    Gryphon
    Bikebreath
    Natboh

And a hat tip to the many Szeliga Campaign volunteers who joined us to overwhelm the flunky and/or Box Lunch Van Hollen sign people...

Once again Rack, you & Deep Lurker anchor these events, THANK YOU!

And thanks to Stoveman for being my "tour guide" once again. If it weren't for him, I would A) Never have found the place, and B) still be trying to get out of there.

The "Green Party Flower interruption" was really under-reported by the media (I know, big surprise). The interruption was quite a sight to see, and it went on for almost 1/2 an hour I would say. It was something else. One guy got up immediately as Vic Carter began the debate, and I mean like on his first word. The guy asked if the candidates on stage had agreed to allow other viable candidates to attend the debate, and when both said they had, Dr. Flowers just got up, jumped up on stage and began proclaiming thanks for allowing her to participate. All players were escorted out by security/LEO as they proclaimed that this event was a sham and an abomination to democracy, free speech, and people's will, and that everyone not supporting Dr. Flowers participation was a sheep, blind to the deception and coverup of government.

Once the first two groups were escorted out, there were yet at least 3 other interruptions before ANYTHING began, until all those who had something to say about it were out on the street. Magnumst and I thought the debate would even get started.

Van Hollen while appearing to be agreeable with allowing Flowers to participate was CLEARLY steamed, while Kathy Szeliga suggested offering her the extra podium that was there. Univ. of Balt. host then stepped in and explained the 15% polling rule, and then yet another outburst followed, resulting in yet another ejection.

I tell you, it was quite a sight, and one I did not wholeheartedly disagree with.

The audience was very disciplined, and watching the broadcast last night (having been there for the live taping) I did not see anywhere that anything was edited, other than the whole side show pre-debate. There were a LOT more Kathy supporters there than I initially thought.

I think Kathy did very well, considering she was up against a very smooth talking and supposedly polished career public speaker. She really is a "regular" person who cares deeply about what honest regular citizens have to endure in their day to day lives. She is not afraid to stand up to career politicians and speak her mind, and she does not back down. You may not have been able to see it on TV, but she really did have van hollen on the ropes with some of the things she said, and you can tell when that is, because he went right to "Trump" when he had no response for something. You can also let everyone know that when he says "invest" it really means "I want to spend more of your money".

He mentioned at one point that "she has no plan" but he failed to let you know that his plan had failed already.

He is a true entrenched BUREAUCRAT that is a master at twisting words, bending truths, and flat out lying with made up statistics.

Kathy is a real Marylander who has the interests of real people in her heart. It was easy to see how "real" she really was at the impromptu gathering we lucky few had the pleasure of being invited to.

Get the word out. Maryland NEEDS Kathy.

It was my honor to be a part of yesterday, and was a complete BLAST!

Great write-up Raineman; thanks! The radio station on my drive into work this morning mentioned that Dr. Flowers had stormed the stage, and even had maybe 5 seconds of audio behind that, but the whole debate report was over in no more than 30 seconds. So R&R is correct: the new media that matters are social sites on the internet.

Thanks for that. Social media drives these modern campaigns

I just vidcap'ed the debate and merged it together with pics from here and elsewhere.

Kathy was GREAT. No canned talking points and a smooth delivery. Van Hollen's voice kept cracking as he threw Trump in every other sentence atlernate to Hillary. He reminded me of Eddie Haskel when he was talking to Mrs. Cleaver. So much for the 'women vote' ...

WBAL had a segment on the Flower child throwing a hissy fit this morning.

I had WJZ on last night in the 5pm hour to set the DVR for the debate and they actually did cover the incident pretty well.

I would have loved to see UB let her stay, she's definitely a progressive libtard whackadoodle and to have two of them on the stage would have been gold, Jerry!

Van Hollen would have been beside himself trying to agree with their side while trying to fend off Kathy.
