Depending on how a quadload gets "bobbled", there can be some energy added to the way the shell comes back. Usually the shell either 1. never makes it to the loading port or 2. gets partially into the mag tube but not far enough to get fully to the shell catch, then it comes back with some help from the mag tube spring.
