I too have a 686 and love it. Except mine is a newer model. Do you have speed loads? Can you tell me if those grips catch onto the speed loader like the hogue grips do making speed loaders useless slow loaders?

No I don't have any speed loaders. This is my very first revolver and I am just starting with it.

    That's a sweet piece
I am starting to get hooked on wheel guns.

I love to carry my 38 snub nose.
Am looking to get my hands on something like you have for carry as well.

Nice first wheelie'!!! There is just something about revolvers.

Be diligent about cleaning those cyclinders after shooting .38's. and save any and all .357 brass even if you don't reload.

    I have a 4" 686-1 that I put the paperwork in on 1/26 (along with a 4" 629-2 and a 4" 617) that I hope to have soon. These will be companions to quasi-1911's I have in .357 mag and .44 mag.

    Love the grips.

Nice piece. I had been trying to acquire a 4" barrel GP100, a 586, 686 or a model 27 since September. Got a ss GP100 last Saturday. Now the wait. Wheel guns forever!
