Nice setup, did you also install the aluminum magazine catch? Read that is required for optimal performance with the Shield 15 round mag.
Indeed. It's not so much for a "performance" issue, well not initially, until it totally chews away at the plastic Glock mag release.Nice setup, did you also install the aluminum magazine catch? Read that is required for optimal performance with the Shield 15 round mag.
Oh hell no! I've been using this name since the mid 90s. Notice how I said "(for now)" in the title.Does this mean you’re going to be changing your screen name to Blaster43X?

Plastic mags need a plastic release. Metal needs metal.
I have ten plastic for range use, wanted to purchase the steel for carry, love those extra rounds. I assume since the steel is for carry only, I can leave the plastic release in there. Of course I would verify a few test with the steel mags.
Nice gun, Blaster. I had occasion to fire a friend's a few times. Handles well, more comfortable to shoot than my Glock 43. I think I might prefer the 48, but they're both good. Not a fan of that slide racker thing. Indeed, I'd put a Striker Control Device on mine instead (have them on a few Glocks), which are much more important to me. +1 for the Vickers slide stop. Your sight choices are similar to mine on all my Glocks (I Dot Pros by Ameriglo). The silver slides have grown on me a bit. Shield Arms mags are getting good reviews. Only heard of a handful of issues among the many they've already sold.
Oh, there's a guy on Glocktalk who puts Glock 17 trigger shoes on Glock 43, 43x, and 48 trigger bars for like $30. It eliminates that serrated trigger and keeps the trigger more "stock" (at least a Glock part) if that matters to people.
Funny. A friend texted me a few months ago telling me they just bought a "...G43, don't ask me why..."
Can't remember who that was...
Where's the mag release?just got my shield 15 round mags in. loaded one up with 15, no problem, at least using the maglula thingie. they drop free pretty good. will need to give them a workout to ensure reliability.
Where's the mag release?
It's an easy pain in the ass to do.on the gun?
j/k, got the metal one but haven't installed yet.
