I have one multi-tool, a gerber, that someone gave me on my first cruise in the Navy. I don't carry it and it sits in a drawer, but I will keep it forever.

    I have the following Leathermans:

    Supertool 300
    Rebar
    Micra

They all are great pieces of equipment... especially the Micra - I beat the crap out of that thing and it keeps on kicking.

Leatherman Wave in backpack or on my belt
Leatherman Style PS (for air travel)
Victorniox Classic Swiss Army knife on my key chain

I find that I mostly need scissors, toothpick and tweezers and the SAK is always with me.

My father gave me a Leatherman as a Christmas gift in 1992. I love that thing and use it regularly.

I have a Remington Multi Tool that I found while out for a walk with the family. It was laying on the ground at Rocky Gap around the back side of the lake. It works and is the best bang for the buck ever! I cleaned it up and took some 3-1 to it.

I have an old Gerber and prefer it most as I often use the pliers & wire cutters a lot and like 1) you can get them out one handed (no 'flipping' it open) and 2) since the tools are 'inside' you can squeeze the handles like mad w/o hurting your hands (no matter what tool is flipped out to use.)

For camping I take along my leatherman Skeletool. Its just too badass (and light) not to carry clipped on somewhere.

I have some small/mini leathermans that sit in drawers.
