I'm guessing because someone here found the error on their web page and pointed out the mistake. Maybe they realized they aren't perfect and perhaps extended an olive branch?

Thanks for posting Swinokur. I saw the bulletin yesterday while checking the carry application, but frankly didn't think to post it here. I was impressed they changed the one year to "within two years prior" requirement so promptly upon being notified of the error. Less misinformation the better.

Well, at least they moved into the 1990s. Of course using Metro as an example "customer" = "sucker."

And "All applications must be typewritten"? Where outside of their offices do they think there are typewriters?

It's an example of the "little victories" we need.

This one came about, it seems, through proper diligence and non-confrontational public pressure. It's the way it's done best, and should be applied to the GA as well.

The more we hold them to account--in numbers, visibly--the more effective we'll be.

my wife has one at the office. its a electric typewriter. i don't like it. currently i am looking for a manual typewriter so i can help students to the tenth degree.

if it's typed, it can't be refuse, RIGHT?

My app was hand-printed, and was processed just fine... then sat on.

I would assume that, should I try to reactivate it, they'll pull shenanigans on several accounts.

But as for typewriters, think "fillable PDF"

I must have taken it the wrong way.

The letter states if the application isn't typed, it will be slow rolled.

Is the application a downlodable PDF, with fields that can be filled in?

My Utah permit application was handwritten, didn't seem to be a problem...
