January 18th and still no joy.
Gun Store closed today at 6:00 p.m. and is closed on Sundays.
Maybe Monday, or Wednesday or who knows - maybe next Saturday.

Ask them (the traitors) how the hell can they purpose new requirements when our 7-day waiting periods have turned into FIVE WEEKS?

Just wondering about interpretation here, please chime in:

This subtitle does not apply to:

    (1) if acting within the scope of official business, personnel of the United States government or a unit of that government, members of the armed forces of the United States or of the National Guard, or law enforcement personnel of the State or a local unit in the State

I am under the impression that if are you an employee of the US Government to include US Military that SB 281 does not apply to you. Any thoughts?

BTW - I put my paperwork in for an AR on 2/20/13 - I have very low expectations at this point.

In rethinking this, it seems like these are separate criteria:

    (1) If acting within the scope of official business
    (2) Personnel of the US Government/ or unit of that Government
    (3) Members of the Armed Forces of the US Government or National Guard
    (4) Or State and Local Law Enforcement (paraphrase)

To your point GBH - I think they would word the Bill like:

If acting within the scope of official business and (2), (3), and (4).

The fact that their are commas instead of a conjunction word like "and" seems to suggest to me that these are criteria in the law. Just trying to think out loud here.

Official business only. Meaning your gov't issued firearm... for official/on-duty purposes. Still means your at home weapons have to comply.

Understood, wow....So what's the feeling around SB 281, is there a feeling that this is going to pass next week? Is there anything we can do to stop it?

I agree that I almost forgot about what I bought. I completed my paperwork on Feb. 2 and called this past Wednesday, Feb. 20, and was told the store just got back Jan. 17 paperwork. That seven day provision has been pretty much ignored.
