Would you mind saying who your FFL is? I am looking to buy my first Home defense piece in Feb. and I am not a patient man, at least not with incompetence.

PS. I was not insulting the FFL when I made the "computa" comment. I was talking about those that take forever to look up some computer databases.

We have 2 gun shops in this town and I buy from both. My average wait time with either one is 12 days. I go with my friend to the other side of the river (WV) and he leaves with his gun in 20 minutes or less. I'm jealous.

well something is wrong, i've never waited longer than 7 days in maryland. and that is with several ffl's. are they store fronts or just private ffl's? sounds like they just take their sweet ass time.

The instant check should have made the 7 day wait obsolete.
I resent every single day of it.

I would not be surprised if they do them in five minutes and then just sit on them. unless they walk to where the database offices are, it does not take long to see if someone witha clean record is clean.

They are store fronts not private ffl's. The only 2 stores in the Cumberland area. It sucks, but not much I can do.

That's the problem, they're trying to dig something up ;)
