Just received an unsolicited email saying I had been unsubscribed from the MSI main membership mailing list.

    Any ideas why?

I have heard that if you forward an e-mail to someone and THEY hit unsubscribe ( or even someone they may have forwarded it to) the "unsubscribe" will follow the trail back to the source (you) and unsubscribe you.

I'm pretty sure constant contact works this way. I don't know if MSI uses constant contact or not?

I never got an activation email when I tried to register. Is that automatic or does it take action on someone's part?

So when the NSA reads your email, they can unsubscribe you? Sounds valid to me...:tinfoil:

Ummmm IIRC, MSI is going to some new computer system to keep track of members. I think they said one of the bad parts of this is that they are unable to "roll over" the memberships from the old system intothe new one and tthat members would have to re-join? Maybe this has something to do with it?
