    Hello all,

I'm moving to Virginia to enjoy freedom while Virginia still has a little left.

How do I update my address for the wear and carry? When I go into the MSP online licensing portal and into my account, it lets me edit my driver's license number and some phone numbers. I do not see a physical address anywhere.

What is the correct way to notify MSP that I'm now a Virginia resident?

    Thanks in advance!

No need. There is no such requirement.

You must follow MVA laws and obtain the new driver's license in your new state of residence.

Yup, I know. There is no requirement for change of address EXCEPT in MVA laws.

The HGP doesn't show your address anywhere.
So the state does not care to know where their permit carriers are residing? Why did we have to put an address on our applications?

How did you receive your physical permit? Was it through the USPS?
    Yep.
That's my point. Burke said there was no duty to update your address(which is wrong).
They need to know where a permit holder resides.
Like the state or not, it's still a government document that should be tended to.

Are you still a member of MSI's board? Your comment directly conflicts with a statement made by MSI's president, who cited COMAR in his comments.

After calling MSP this morning, and experiencing a 40 minute hold, I was advised that the only way to update your physical address is by email only.

I sent an email to MSP in hopes that everything goes smoothly.
