and even stricter CT state gun laws did not stop this man from walking into the elementary school with weapons including the state banned AR-15 .223 round assault rifle and killing 30 children. We don't need more gun laws, we need to heal society by fixing the root problem. Banning guns and destroying one of the most important liberties in the Bill of Rights that is there to keep our Nation free will not stop the violence. It will only disarm the good guys. Criminals do not obey laws. That is why we call them criminals. Even if every gun were destroyed, that man in China did just fine killing people in a mall with only a knife.

Wow. Freeman's comment if it is his is very compelling and quite surprising, maybe its my pre-judgement that he is an Obama lackey and mouth piece that he would even say something like that. Regardless, if he did say it, he is brave because his liberal brethren could very well make him insignificant, ala Bill Cosby.

Honestly, the discussion should not even be about guns. The more we focus on it, even as a solution, we need to get off of it. Guns are tools... nothing more nothing less.

Why is no one talking about why these people do these things... its not guns. Guns have been around for centuries, yet we are seeing mass shootings only in the last few decades. What about society has changed. Media? Culture of violence? Over medicating our children? Teaching the wrong values? We need to ask these tough questions, because even if we were to have more gun control, society is still churning out people who are willing to do these violent acts.
