Van Hollen and Cardin are the two Democrat Senators from MD.

The nominee must have sufficient Liberal Bone Fides to be approved by them to be appointed no matter the party of the President attempting to appoint them.
Am I missing something? They both voted Nay for her...she squeaked through via the Senate Repubs...

This county has 45% of Maryland’s Jewish population, among whom I count an outsized percentage of my friends and neighbors.
My concerns for international jihad messaging are, shall we say, being afforded slightly more regard these recent days than concerns about whether I am 300 or 299 or xyz feet from places on this list.

If one is following SB1’s concealed rule, one could have a mango on their person somewhere and nobody should be even thinking of it. Prison wallet excluded, the awkward walk would give it away.

I’m sure I’m not parsing the nuances well enough, but it looks like the court just granted a permanent injunction against the main hot button issues in 21-22. Essentially a victory for us, with a looming paperwork phase that will last 10 days.

Yes that sounds accurate to me based on my read as well. Well done MSI!

What I want to know is whether the opinion’s language means that all the MoCo claimed “places of public assembly” are to be open to W&C permit holders. That’s how it looks?

Otherwise the Takoma Park and Friendship Heights “sidewalk = PPA” claims make a mockery of the opinion.

The way I read it, it's gotta follow State law because of preemption. So if you can carry on a sidewalk in PG or Dorchester Co, it'll be the same in MoCo.
