The department will reimburse eligible applications up to $250 for one camera per qualifying resident, and up to $1,250 for five cameras for qualifying businesses or nonprofits.

Nobody's asking the really important questions.

Who on that committee has the cousin in the security camera business?
    How are the bribes distributed?

    Along with:
Is the footage really as private and secure as it's claimed to be?

As I understand it, MoCo is only providing funding for the Camera itself, not other aspects of the system.

As for private/secure.... it depends... maybe.

Get something that uses Two-Factor Authentication if it'll be uploading imagery to the Cloud.

For example: Google/Nest and Ring support Two-Factor Authentication.

Costco actually sells quite a bit of gear: https://www.costco.com/security-surveillance.html

Only one thing will stop a burglar like that and it moves around 1,200 FPS.

****THIS. Admittedly sub-sonic would work too behind a good suppressor host and will be a bit easier on your eardrums as well... :)
