OK everyone....it's our responsibility to take part in this annual tradition.

I'll be back at Bay Country on Monday to pick up 100 rounds of something.

A brief explanation - What is National Ammo Day?
November 19 is National Ammo Day.

It is a nationwide BUYcott of ammunition. You buy ammunition. 100 Rounds a person.

    The goals of Ammo Day:

The goal of National Ammo Day is to empty the ammunition from the shelves of your local gun store, sporting goods, or hardware store and put that ammunition in the hands of law-abiding citizens. Make your support of the Second Amendment known--by voting with your dollars!

There are an estimated 75 MILLION gun owners in the United States of America. If each gun owner or Second Amendment supporter buys 100 rounds of ammunition, that’s 7.5 BILLION rounds in the hands of law-abiding citizens!

The gun/ammunition manufacturers have been taking the brunt of all the frivolous lawsuits, trying to put these folks out of business. Well, not if we can help it! And we CAN help it by buying ammunition on November 19!

I'm in for this although I'm thinking a couple hundred rounds. Thanks for the heads up Norton.

And that's the key to making something like this work. Obviously not every gunowner is going to buy something, so regular shooters like most of us can make up for that by purchasing a few hundred rounds.

We're going to buy that ammo sooner or later anyway.

Well, since I'll be unavailable all day Monday, I went out and bought 275 rounds of ammo today.

100 rounds of Winchester Super X 22lr High Velocity
50 rounds CCI Stinger 22lr hyper velocity
100 rounds remington Jallew Jacket 22lr hyper velocity

and 25 rounds of Remington Premier sts low recoil 20 gauge for a gun that I don't own yet. My boy seems to have picked up an interest in shotguns. :innocent0

All of the different 22lr is for 2 guns I bought for my son for Christmas.....I want to try out different ammo to see which works best with each gun. I have 3 or 4 other types of 22lr at the house already, so it should make for a fun experiment.

    Bump.

If all 700-some members here were to swarm a couple of shops tomorrow, we could clean the places out.

    I'm off to Bay Country.
