Modern Make Springfield Garand .308

Anyone have one of these? Do they perform well? Saw one in a gunshop the other day and am intrigued.

Would rather have a CMP Special on a real usgi receiver for ~$1K or build my own for about the same on a real receiver. Would never consider paying as much or more for sa inc. on a repro receiver.

This was some years ago I had a Springfield M1 in the 7.62 T26 configuration...it was an excellent rifle. A GI M1 will be worth more but you would just as happy with the SA version.
