I have always argued that we would not need a TSA if terrorist knew tha every flight cauldron have 4, 5 trained military personnel on board concealed carrying. Ditto for bank robbers ,rapists, etc. unfortunately, liberals do not like or trust military personnel. Exhibit 1: Clinton mandated all bases to be gun free zones, where no one could carry. Yes, you can keep it at housing, but that's it. Major Hassan knew that, and went on his rampage at the Fort Hood infermery.

Active duty military here and keeping firearms on base/housing not allowed at previous duty station (2004-2008). Had to keep in security armory. I was security there! I have not checked any bases since then because I refuse to live on base and no longer do security.

Or, everyone could be allowed to carry.

Police carry as part of their occupation. Military members (except military police) do not have that same occupation (domestically). Posse Comitatis may even be a factor if you are only allowing military to carry, and not everyone.

FWIW, I am a vet, and my wife is active duty.

Also, keep in mind that just because you are military, you may have never touched a handgun. Now, that fact should not prevent someone from carrying...I'm just saying.

I'm military and I disagree with this... should be the law abiding citizens safety act if you believe that the federal government really has this authority over the states, which it doesn't. Further, the states shouldn't be attempting to restrict the rights of citizens ANYWAY.

I understand the strategy, and perhaps it's the only way, but it doesn't make it any less wrong.

I actually just came across this when someone shot me the link for mandating every gun to be painted pink. I naturally signed that one without issue.

Here's the pink petition if you all wanted to join in.

If it passes we can be assured of having something other than drab colors to finally match our accessories with.

There are some other good petitions as well that you all should read, some just for shits and giggles.

Here's one that is asking for the ability to spy on congress using microphones, mini cams, etc.
    https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/pe...-technology-congress-and-white-house/C3c6ZsgY

Here's one that would make any infringement of the 2nd amendment to be an impeachable offense.
    https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/pe...2nd-amendment-be-impeachable-offense/hPHY24RY

Here's one that makes it a requirement to own and maintain a firearm in the home.

Here's one asking Obama to declare a 'Gun Appreciation Day'. Though personally I believe that day is coming in November, 2016 (god willing).

Here's an interesting one of declaring a war against aging.
