I am in no way a Hogan fanboy. I've sent him a few less than friendly emails. His nonresponsive attitude towards the 2nd is infuriating. There is no upside to voting for either candidate in regards to 2A rights. I'm hoping for a longer term attitude change for voters towards all candidates that have the R next to their name. The Dumbocrates can not continue to control every aspect of living in this crap state. And that is what it is right now.

At this point, I'm beginning to think that the bigger issue is getting people to vote. I'm tired of hearing about elections with "record low voter turnout" and then hearing "Record High Democratic participation in primaries."

It's time to wake up before the reverse of 2016 happens. Democrats in 2016 were so confident that Obama was so loved that Hillary couldn't lose. I'm afraid that Republicans are beginning to think that Trump is winning so much no one would vote against him.

Yes. Complacency + Laziness will cost us Congress. So much good will be un-done, and so much potential will be squandered. How the prospect of Nancy Pelosi running the house again wouldn't make every single conservative and concerned independent get off their asses and vote, I can't imagine. But you know it's going to happen, barring a Herculean effort to change something that conservatives are notoriously bad about. Things are going our way, and too many will just sit back and assume the left can't be as insane as they actually are.

The Republicans had better snap out of it, fast.

The Dems are going for Trump's scalp via control of the House and impeachment, and they'll be digging up corpses to take to the polls and try to make sure it happens.

Comey already said we all need to elect Democrats, and the Deep State -- including Mueller -- will do everything they can to help.

OK! So all of you with 'PRINCIPLES'.... go ahead and NOT VOTE! But, don't you dare come back on this thread after Jealous wins and Bitch, and moan, and complain. I then suggest that you......

    STFU!!!!!!

Meanwhile, after Hogan cruises to victory(which he will) and the Mikes send some more 2A crushing bills to his desk that he signs while getting his back rubbed by Moms Demanding Lunacy, will we have to suffer through you crying about it here? Or will you make excuses for him? Or will you just STFU??

So do we suck it and Vote for Lawn Chair Larry who folds for every demand for the left? The guy is a democrat but lies that he is not.

Or do we find another candidate, at this point it is too late of course, but one for the next go around.

Or do we get the inevitable over with and FORCE a correction in Maryland?Vote for Jealous, the state will be in shambles for several years, mired in SCOTUS action for various things eventually sinking to crap hole status. It should then be easier to reverse (The Obama Effect only locally).

It seems to me like we are on an inevitable slide to crap hole status with the only real hope being a save by the SCOTUS for districting and 2a rights.

Am I way off in thinking this? It is hard losing round after round after round and getting back in the ring.

I suppose getting Frosh out would do some good but can we build on that substantially enough to change the lunatic liberals?

My opinion is that you suffer past Larry's second term. Try to get a strong a candidate as possible. One that will fight for what we hold high. More hope that the fence sitters see that non-democrat politicians are not bad. Larry is a bad medicine that this state needs. He sucks bad on gun rights. The fact that many Dems support him is good and bad. To our side he's a push over. On their side he makes them comprismize.

Link to where Hogan ever forced the left to compromise?

    i'm sorry, MGA?

Maryland General Assembly. This past session they were restrained compared to years past. I think Hogan's higher than expected approval rating has held the MGA career politicians in check. How do you think they'll act with an avowed grabber socialist as a leader? I think they'll roll out something that'll make the FSA-2013 look tame.

Jealous wants your shotguns, think about that. Jealous wants to fund free education via taxes, think about that as well.

    What does Hogan want?

While there is no way to know or measure that I do think that is reasonable. THANK YOU for your response.

If the 9th District Court of Appeals can find that Open Carry is a Constitutional Right, then anything is possible in this day and age. If I lived in Maryland, I would stick with Hogan for another four years.

    The election?

Is it normal for legislative bodies to really cause a ruckus in an election year?

But, are you implying Hogan kept them in check?

What's different versus when O'malley was leading the band? MGA still has a super majority right?

What metric do you use to determine a good or bad cycle? I learned a while ago that you don't realize good management until it's gone. Why would governance be different?

The simple fact of not having one of their own - not having a totalitarian, monopolistic grip on power was, and is a daily reminder that they sometimes can and do go too far and that they need to exercise restraint. That's a good thing.

OK, instead of bashing the governor, ask yourself what kept the MGA in check during the past cycle?

Those of us that busted our asses in Annapolis during the legislative session, to keep bills from making it to the Governor's desk. And if more people would show up and do that, we might have more success.

Fair enough link to where Hogan EVER made them compromise? Lawn chair Larry is the one who does the folding.

We need to get 5 more Senators elected, then he can force them to compromise.

Right now, he can ask them to compromise, but if they don't want to, they can just pass the bill and override his veto. The only power he has is some power of the purse strings.

With 5 Senate seats flipped, the Democrats would lose guaranteed veto override.
