I know MGM National Harbor lists guns as prohibited for The Theater, but that doesn't have the force of law until October. So does anyone know if they actually search/wand or use metal detectors or tech like the Evolv screeners?

I don't mind disarming if they're actually providing security, but if it's just a paper warning with nothing to back it up I'd rather not (not to mention I really hate leaving a gun in the car).

    Thanks

I do not recall metal detectors the only time that I have been there, which was last month.

But they may do as Live casino does and deploy them at peak times. For example, going in Saturday afternoon, you had to walk through it, but it wasn't in use. Later that night, everyone was scanned and those who needed wanding were pulled aside.

Just as an extra data point for someone in the future, they did have metal detectors out for the Penn & Teller show. It was a fun run back to the car. :)
