NOPE. IT WAS JANET NAPOLITANO, who is the SECRETARY OF HOMELAND SECURITY.

She didn't just "say" it either. SHE PUT IT INTO AN OFFICIALLY RELEASED REPORT FROM HER DEPARTMENT.

According to her, veterans are the lowest of the low, and CAN NOT BE TRUSTED.

Finestein also said it as well, making the statement that all veterans have PTSD and shouldn't be trusted with firearms of any type.

Why? If you are already in the national database why do they need your prints again? Except for harassment and $$.

You answered your own question -- in part. It's for harassment and humiliation. They can't brand or tattoo you -- too Nazi-like, at least for now, while some memory of that still exists, so they treat you like they're booking you for a crime and print you.

This should send chills up people's spines. The fact that it doesn't ought to be alarming in and of itself. Frogs in increasingly warm water.

Same reason they make people turn in fingerprint cards for every NFA item. To make sure the person filling out the form is the person they say they are.

Unless you use an NFA trust....
