Does anyone know if Maryland armed guards can use rifles on duty?

Does anyone know if you can apply with the state for a guard card license before you are offered a position with a sponsoring company? The State site said in application with, but the application requires the company's certification. Thanks

No. The application must be signed by your employing agency.

There are some training companies that will submit said application, if you pay for their training.

Whew ! I was about to comment, thinking this was the other , current Thread about hiring Armed Security for one day event . Luckily I noticed the dates , and looked twice .
