I am supposed to get my Waterfowl stamp from the state
from when I purchased my 2013-2014 hunting licenses....

They send me 2013 boat registration stickers.

Anyone wanna take a ride on my... gun ?

I'll assume they saw Water(fowl) and thought Boat ???

Hey that's a deal they are worth $50. Why does Maryland charge $17 for the Federal Duck stamp when the Post Office sells it for $15 ?

I'd rather get my stamp for $17.00 versus $15.00

None of the local PO's has them. I went to 7 PO's 2 years ago and not a single PO even knew what I was talking about. $17.00 is a bargain to have it mailed.

The running joke right now with my buddies and I is that we can now park the boats in the middle of the field at my farm and shoot Geese from the comfort of the boat. I'll assume this also makes it legal for me to shoot deer from a Boat.

No, they realized you were a member of MDS. Since most of us seem to store our firearms in the bay, they just want to make sure the boat that's going to sink is properly registered.

Best keep the guns away from the boat, you don't want to have a tragic boating accident in the field! All of your guns will sink to the bottom of the corn.

I received my boat decals stickers today in lieu of a duck stamp and called the number on the website which said they were open until 7pm. At 5:15 when I called the recording said the office was closed, and their hours where from 8am to 7pm. If they send my duck stamp I will have two boat decals for sale cheap.

I will now have to assume at this point that my theory was 1000% correct.

NONE of our Hunting license funds go back in to our hunting resources in this state. They all go to boating and fishing resources. I knew I was right a long long time ago.

Anywho, I sent and email to Ms. Stowers at the Prince Frederick office last night, so, we'll see what transpires of this issue today. I've had excellent luck in the Southern Region office working much faster than Annapolis is fixing issues.

Maybe they started a firearm season while boating? It is probably a MOM idea as a way to increase state revenue through a new tax - sorry, I mean new fee.

I have not seen any fish in the middle of that 22 acre field in a long time. But hauling the boat out there will be a breeze. I just have to make sure the batteries are charged so the radio will play for a couple of hours. Sadly the Wheat is not going to be as tall as the boat, so, I'll have to paint the boat now.
