The whole 3 or 4 page letter pretty much say we are the problem and not his client . His client can say what he wants and we are judged on what we say . The whole thing is one huge farce IMHO
Yea, but what did the bar association claim? Sounds like an attorney zealously defending his/her client. Normal behavior. I don't care what anyone may or may not have done, that doesn't make it right or legal.
What does the BAR have to say.
Okay , here is the Bar Asses .. C. Shea McSpaden ,
The inquiry into your complaint is concluded
I have determined based on an evaluation of the information provided , that there is a insufficient basis to demonstrate misconduct or that the overall circumstances do not warrant an investigation . As such this file is closed .
The jurisdiction of this office is generally limited to reviewing conduct that may be in violation of the Maryland Attorneys' rules of professional conduct
Not only is our jurisdiction limited . but our ultimate burden of proof to establish a violation of the rules requires clear and convincing evidence .
These factors have been taken into consideration in closing this file .
Pretty much sums that up .
They protect their own.

Amen brother , I actually thought I would never hear from the board not even a response . So at least they answered a letter .
I was told by a lawyer that they will discipline only if the attorney steals money from a client all else is fair game .
No worries on my end .
I just looked up "Maryland Lawyer's Rules of Professional Conduct"
Obviously written by a lawyer

I guess encouraging or breaking the law is not unethical.
It still cost him at least a grand to hire an attorney to respond, probably more.
I'm a little surprised they have a problem with stealing from clients
And yes the bar got it wrong based on the Number 5 on the code of conduct as NotAn Outlaw has stated
One paragraph , by Stephan Y Brennan Quoted and written the exact way
Mr. Welder and the "We will not comply / Patriot Picket" group of which he is a member have adopted a slogan that is confrontational , inflammatory and defiant , as they openly state that if certain firearm laws are passed they will not follow those laws . Members of Mr. Welders group disrupt political hearings . This does not lend itself to civil political discourse . Indeed , this behavior is viewed by many as tactics to intimidate , rather then to persuade .
