Yes, not a problem, but a mk2 bolt womt go into a MK3 upper unless the LCI is removed.

Take the grip assembly off and remove the pin on the bottom of the upper. The LCI will fall out.

They make a filler to take its place, here is one on my MK3

It sounds like you may be buying more than a barrel. Be careful as the barrel and the part that hold the bolt comprises the receiver and is a REGULATED part so you would need to do a transfer or worry about going to.jail :-)
