Yep, I waved to him.

I was on the bullhorn standing in the middle of the intersection when his female driver brought him through—in his shiny LandRover—somewhat hastily into the intersection that I thought was under police control.

Zirkin was in the passenger seat and both he and the driver seemed alarmed that I stepped in front of them to block their progress.

It was at that moment that I realized that the Capitol Police has ceased traffic control and taken off—probably to deal the the March For Life crowd up at Church Circle.

After blocking Zirkin momentarily to make sure none of our people were on the lanes, I waved him through.

I seem to remember Zirkin as particularly slimy when attending the hearings last year. Now I read an older article and apparently he wasn't being thought of as slimy "progressive"enough for today's Md Dems as they sought to put up Sheldon Laskin for his position last election.

That was my assumption. I only saw a handful of senators. Steve Hershey stopped and talked to me for a bit (I've always liked him - I hadn't seen him in years, but spent a lot of time with him when Pipkin was around).
