Magpul SL - low profile gas block fit

Recently added magpul SL carbine length handguards and I love them. However I am having trouble finding a front sight to fit. I have a low profile gas block. I ordered a rail mount a-frame front sight but the base is too wide let alone the gigantic thumb knob. Wouldn't mind using the magpul buis I have but the gas block gets too hot and its lower than the receiver rail. I guess I could use a quad rail but i find them slightly uncomfortable.

Any advice for an AR noob?

Get an aluminum or steel magpul or troy flip up front sight.

I ended up with a set of Magpul MOEs and a fixed a-frame. Its rather nice since they co-witness with my reflex rather nicely.
