Magpul MOE fixed rifle stock review.

I just received my Magpul MOE rifle stock. I've been eyeing the UBR for a long time but couldn't ever justify the expense. Then this thing came along and I bought one to try out. I'm very happy with it. It's extremely solid, much more so than the MOE carbine stock I had before. It is right between an A1 and A2 length and fits me well. The comb rest allows a nice cheek weld when using my 1-6x scope. The shape of the stock allows a good hold with your non trigger hand while shooting prone, and the bottom of the stock is set up to accept a picatinny rail or a mono-pod. The rear of the stock flips open to allow access to a large storage compartment inside the stock. Perfect for batteries, Form 1/4’s, bolts, etc.

For ~$65.00(cheaper at Brownells with the dealer discount) I'm very happy.

looks like a YHM Todd Jarret Series

That's exactly what it is, in the extended rifle length. I now prefer slimmer profile fore-ends like the MI Gen 2 SS.

I'm really liking this stock. I think I'll buy a few more for my non CQB focused AR's.

Yea im waiting for the OD's to release so I can throw them on a build or two.

Have to see if i like them better than the Vltor A2 modstocks i have, which i like the check weld on but, but would love for them to have the rolled bottom that the EMOD has.

I've looked at these and wish I could actually fondle one to be sure. I looked at ACE, ergo, and some other brand too. Subscribing. :)

IMHO, the UBR is worth the money, but I wouldn't mind doing a "modernized national match" AR-15 with Magpul furniture one of these days. Definitely think it was a good decision to release that fixed stock...
