Local pond. I have never caught a shad. I am a fresh water boy. Not even sure where to go to catch a shad. I guess the bay.

yeah I read that, I was on the DNR website today. Says people can catch 100 of them! Is coniwingo considered nod tidal? Is is shad time? I might make the long drive up. Also read they are trying to put them in the choptank.
Never fished it before.

I take the fresh water boy back, I fish Barnegat Bay a couple of times throughout the summer. Mainly snapper blues, weak fish and some flukes on ultralights.

shad run is slowing down from what i see at some of the good spots. we shoot snakeheads in the same places the shad and herring come into. I haven't seen many guys out since we started seeing snakeheads.

people are catching them. been hearing they are hitting on chatter baits with a sasy shad on it pritty good. water is real cloudy.

I am pretty sure the tidal / non-tidal dividing line is near Lapidum Landing.

Shad were running good at Deer Creek last weekend. Was catching every third or fourth cast on darts.

May try to go tomorrow if the wife releases me from my never ending list of home improvements.

I think the tidal/non tidal line is where Deer Creek enters the river.
