My dad did. He was a plank owner on the New Jersey (the battleship in the photo, but that pic was taken years later). It was Halsey's flagship in WWII. They referred to the movement of the ship when they unloaded like that as being, "The Jersey Bounce" ... which was also the name of a popular WWII swing dance tune. I think they also named the ship's newsletter that.
