I took an old m1 out to the range today and found that i'm 3.5-4 MOA off (left) when the windage knob is on mechanical zero. I'm assuming i have to move the front sight post to the left "a bit" test and go again but.. how do you move it? I can't seem to find an alan wrench that fits.

is it a special tool, or do i need a wider set of alan wrenches?

Four MOA is only 4 clicks worth so bother; if you were 7-8 off, you might want to move the front sight. Orlando has given good advice on what to do if you decide to adjust your sight. Kroil or WD-40 should do the trick.

Thanks guys. I ordered some screws.. gave it some thought and agree.. 4 clicks probably isn't worth the fuss. I still have a wide range of windage available.. it gives the rifle some character/personality and in reality... if i ever need the full range of windage in that direction.. I've probably got other things i should worry about.

    Now.. to practice.
