I have my Utah CCW and restricted (I'm a landlord) MD permit. So i can occasionally carry in this state. I'm also taking 2 trips down south this summer and plan to carry.

I am looking for a practical class that teaches (but not limited to):
    - how/where to carry on hip
    - how/when to draw, if needed
    - any general rules/laws (i.e. good samaritan, if applicable)
    - shooter stance
    - know what's beyond target
    - etc

I know there are some MD based classes, but wasn't sure if they give you the practical. real life training. As a responsible gun owners, I want to get some good training. Youtube videos and this forum only go so far. Having hands on experience is key.

I would like to take a class in MD, but can travel if needed.

I looked but couldn't find a thread in this subforum.

    TIA

Try Bryan Fletcher (PARBREAK here on MDS), ProShooter (Jim Reynolds) or Tim Von Eiff (tvoneiff12@comcast.net - Defensive Solutions). Check with Tom Peroni too!

We actually ran our Defensive Handgun I class today. The students had a blast.

FrederickIWLA.org has a NRA Advanced Defensive Pistol class coming up.

Otherwise I agree with the others that NRA Personal Protection Inside/Outside the Home would be a good start.

Also consider the MAG 40 course just announced for August near OC.
