Looking for gunsmith

Hey guys just bought a mosin nagant not long ago. The front sight post doesnt seem to be seated correctly and would like to find gunsmith thats good with mosins that may be able to figure out a solution for my problem.

By the way I live on the eastern shore. I'm looking for somebody close but I'll do what it takes to get the job done right.

Those things are built like tanks, can't you just beat it with a hammer?

Well the front sight is dove tailed to fit together and its loose. The guy I bought the gun from put a peice of aluminum in there to keep it tight but I have a feeling it won't last long after a few rounds.

Can you peen the doetail to make it tighter? Another solution is locktight from an autoparts store but I don't know what the strongest color is.
