I was considering a revolver but I do own a px4 storm 9mm that for some reason she loves to shoot so was kinda going with the semi auto "style" but will definitely keep it in mind. And as for Ruger I my self was very interested in the sr22.

Be careful about .22 revolvers. They tend to have a heavy DA trigger to reliably ignite the ammo. Some even have a heavy SA trigger. Might be a miserable experience for your wife or unusable. The SR22, 22/45, and Buckmark are better choices for most women. I have 22/45s and Buckmarks and my wife can plink with those all day long.

I would go with the Buckmark or go old school and get her an Hi Standard with adjustable sights. It will only go up in value.
They can be found in very good condition for $500-$800 if you look around.

Very true about most .22LR revolvers having heavy trigger.

GP100 in SA mode is sweet.

LCR only has DA mode, and its a heavy trigger.

.22LR GP100's SA trigger is easy to deal with because it's a large frame with larger, longer parts (compared to smaller frames). Increased leverage within the trigger assembly works in favor of the operator. Still, it's a seriously-heavy revolver with a lot of weight out front and most women will find it tedious and tiring for anything more than a cylinder or two.

It's already been mentioned in here a few times, but I can't say enough good things about the Ruger SR22. I have one and I love it. Easy trigger, comfortable grips (and it comes with 3 sizes of grips), light weight; it's really nice to shoot.

Neos has issues with light strikes the way the firing pin is designed.
Buck mark and its trigger is very good bang for the buck (LOL)

There was a recall on the neos for this several years back I believe. I have never had a issue with either 1 I have. Unfortunately my Buckmark bell mouths the rounds at the rifling end and won't extract the empty shell. It's on my to do list to fix. It's sad because it's a fairly new pistol. I bought it used I'm guessing that's why the previous owner sold it . Just like everything in life. You get some good and some bad 1s some time I guess.

Stop by the gun shop and was looking around was curious if anyone had input on whether the special or exclusive edition guns held there value better just because they have a red frame over the plain black (sr22 Banger edition) for example. Wasn't sure if the extra $50 now might be worth while later?

I recently got a SW victory 22, one of the new models, and am very happy with it. My wife also really likes it.
