LMT Bolt Carrier Group Identification (Picture Heavy)

Is there any sure way to identify a bolt carrier group as one manufactured by LMT?

I feel like the stake job on this BCG was not by LMT.

That gas key looks like crap... I'm guessing that's not LMTs assembly work... It may be their parts but they pretty much follow a Colts lead on parts quality and assembly practices.

I have two LMT BCG's at home; off the top of my head I don't recall what they look like, but I'm pretty sure they don't look like that! PM me your e-mail address if you want some pics.

Looks similar to CMT staking. More than likely DIY with a hammer and chisel.

The staking is bad but it should hold. I have seen and own BCG that have lighter stakes that that and its a crimp stake.

It looks like the bolt has Continental Machine markings on it....

Anyone else notice no hint of hard-chrome on the interior of the gas-key??
