Ouch......................I guess the markets changed. Still see them every once in a while in the $600 to $700 in well cared for condition (e.g., 85% or better but no collectors gimmicks like a box) but getting harder and harder everyday.

Glad I bought the "Saddle Ring" twins when I did!

I'd be a buyer at about 600 or so. 16" barrel and a saddle ring. just about the perfect rig i'd think.

16-inch 94AE with a saddle ring would be sweet. Rossi 16-inch 1892s are plentiful at good prices.

For Winchester Model 94s, as you said, most are pricey ...

    20-inch ... $900 ...

    20-inch ... $725 (no pics - putatively very good condition) ...

... and 16-inch Winchester levers in 357 are very rare currently.

Quick question, is the Rossi R92 24" Octagon barrel 12+1 legal in MD? Is the 10 round limit on "detachable" magazines or anything that holds over 10 rounds?

    That applies to semiautomatics

Manually operated firearms are not affected.

So my 94 AE in .45 Colt and 20" barrel is worth some money now? Glad I bought it used for $250 back in 2002...

You will make some money on it, $700 to $800 is still a hard sell especially for the .45 in 20" (.357 and 16" seem to bring the premiums) but $600 should be a fairly easy grab.

Ya a 16" takedown would be nice. Almost bought one of the 20" 30-30 ones they did a year and a half ago, just hard to drop $1100 on a modern Winnie. Also you really have to think how useful is it? Now if they did a .357 takedown............that would be a different story.

Not saying I am going to buy one, but next time I go to the Chantilly Show I want to stop at the Taylor's booth and look at http://www.taylorsfirearms.com/cart...barrel-black-soft-touch-padded-stock-end.html Lot of money for a souped up Uberti though.

That Rem Hog Sniper has is a great deal, if it wasn't over 90 minutes each way time and gas money Id go get it. (Almost did this weekend). If you are closer at that price its worth taking a chance on Rem quality, its less but they usually run fine. Just rougher edges, less refined work. Plus laminate is sweet.

I'd like to have a Model 1887 in 28'' 12ga. That would get some looks on the trap range. :D

Got another one, a Henry .44 but no picture. Looking to buy another Henry in .45-70. First one is the Henry 1860 in .45 LC and the second is my Winchester .30-30

I'm not going to sell it, but it's nice to know I actually made money on a firearm purchase. Mine has a saddle ring, too.

Love my 1860 Iron Frame, wish I could get another deal like the one I got. 44-40 works better with BP now than .45 Colt.

Almost bought a new Winchester (Miroku) 1892 Short Rifle in 44 Magnum last night (45 Colt is also currently available - both for around $900), but resisted. So hard.

They are likely only to keep creeping up, Winchester crowd are avid collectors. You may not get the triple digit gains of a evil gun when an import ban comes through, but take care of it youll make money.

I am looking for an old 1800's- early 1900's winchester in 30-30 in excellent condition if anyone know of any for sale. Prefer to buy local but will purchase from a dealer or online if needed.

Almost picked up an 1860 Henry in 45 LC from Just Guns about 7 years ago. They had one used for 750 and I'm still kicking myself for not buying it...now that Henry is making them again I'll make that the tax refund purchase this year. Great looking rifle.
