Terrific letter, sir. Please copy Sen. Mike Miller. Don't bother with Sen. Frosh; he's only too happy to have fewer military and fewer people with guns here.

That's a great letter, but sadly, it's going to fall on deaf ears/blind eyes because this current debacle of the legislative process in MD has nothing to do with anything that even remotely resembles common sense, and it's not about safety. It's about taking power away from the people, and it's about pushing a liberal, socialist agenda - welcome to Soviet Marylandistan.

You are doing absolutely 100% right by choosing Virginia over anywhere in MD. I work on Andrews AFB too, and if my wife wasn't attached to the state so thoroughly as an educator (she stands to lose a lot if she relocates her job, even outside of the county) I'd be fully into plans to leave - either VA or PA - both are vastly preferable to MD, not only where guns are concerned, but for taxes as well.

Fantastic letter. You should also send your letter to all senators and house delegates. Use the MSI or AGC websites and let them all know with one click of a button. Thank you for your service.

I applaud your efforts to let the Maryland politicians know that they are driving people away from the state and causing ones contemplating moving to Maryland to reconsider. Your wife and children will most likely enjoy Virginia a lot more than they would have enjoyed Maryland. Whether you realize it or not, you have most likely saved yourself some money on gasoline purchases by moving to Virginia. Maryland just passed a gas tax increase that will ultimately add about 24 cents to a gallon of gas.

From a retired military man to an active duty one, keep up the good work and I sincerely hope our Government leaves you and the other active duty members the resources to perform your duties.

When Dem's stop getting elected in this state, they will care about things like your letter, until then they have no reason to care

LTC- very well stated. You feel exactly as many of us do. O'maley will sign this into law as soon as possible and gloat about it at every opportunity.

I strongly recommend you mail this letter to the media. Even the more anti outlets are looking to publish opinions like yours to appear 'balanced'.

The penalties for technical violates are extremely harsh, like 5 year mandatory minimum, no parol, etc. These punishments are as harsh or harsher than actually committing a violent crime. The kooks have taken over.
