Our legislators ignore their constituents and pass laws infringing on our Constitutional Rights.

The Feds use the commerce clause to pass anything they want

The courts change arguments for the lawmakers so they can avoid overturning them.

And we are supposed to sit back and have faith in the system.

The less than half of us who actually pay federal income tax arent paying our fair share.

The poor aren't getting enough free shit

And we are supposed to sit back and have faith in the system.

That about sums it up...it's a sad state of affairs that so many are so happy to drink the cool-aid and wear their blinders.

Our political system is broken and the lawmakers have found a way to keep it from being fixed. Think about it, there is always a winner of every election even if nobody likes any of the parties, platforms or politician running. No matter what it is always a vote for the best of the worst so the worst always win and the public always loses.

***In many cases we no longer vote in a person qualified to do the job they have been entrusted to do. We are at a point where we elect officials ala American Idol as opposed to someone with demonstrable skills in fixing the problems of our day, the economy, and have values congruent with the conservative principles that made this country great.

    We live in interesting times.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace.

We seek not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. Samuel Adams

You left out the part where they re-vote a passed amendment until it fails.

No we are supposed to subvert it from within. How remains to be seen, but it will happen.:)
