There were so many e-mail responses I thought I'd try to organize them. Please speak up if I have someone on the wrong list. Many of the e-mails members reported on didn't have all the legislator's info. And many of the e-mails were typical of politicians and difficult to discern their true position.

UPDATE Through post 606 of the e-mail thread http://www.mdshooters.com/showthread.php?t=98176

I'VE TRIED TO BETTER ORGANIZE THIS LIST - AND ADDED NAMES SUGGESTED HERE, SO IT ISN'T STRICTLY FROM THE E-MAILS (but mostly is)

Maybe this will help us focus our e-mails/letters/phone calls.

Remember there are 47 Senators and 141 Delegates...
The Senate is 35 Democrats and 12 Republicans
The House is 98 Democrats and 43 Republicans
28 and 5 leaves a long way to go.

These are the sponsors of the bill. I think we can safely consider all of them anti.

Senators Benson, Conway, Currie, Ferguson, Forehand, Frosh, Kelley, King, Madaleno, Manno, Montgomery, Peters, Pinsky, Ramirez, Raskin, Robey, Rosapepe, Young, and Zirkin

You currently have a few of these guys as supportive and no response.

Anyone know where Del. Bob Costa is on this list? I just realized, I have no idea! He's never responded to any of my emails, letters or calls in the time I've lived in his district! I just assumed he was on our side because of the makeup of the district.

I've gotten written responses from our friend Del. Smigiel, and I'm not even in his district!

That's how I feel about Simonaire and Kipke.

I haven't heard anything back from Simonaire.

Kipke replied that the e-mail had been received but didn't take a stance.

This looks a little more encouraging that I was thinking. I wonder if O'Malley will blackmail the fence sitters the same way Glendenning blackmailed the fence sitters in the 1990's?

Updated with party affiliation to demonstrate that this is breaking on party lines (there are a few exceptions) and this is marylanD.

Could it be beneficial to forward a link of this thread, and the "Are You A Democrat" thread to the Anti 2A and non-answer legislators to let them know they are being outed? I live in 34B and Del. Rudolph has given me the non-answer. When I emailed back respectfully requesting a solid answer where he stands, I got nothing.

Delegate Costa is not running again so I'm sure he doesn't care. As for Delegate Kipke and Senator Simonare I'm positive we have their support.

I spoke with Del John Olszewski Jr in person, he said he is pro 2a but did not publicly announce anything until he seen what the bill was. However we can not always trust their word. I do know he is a hunter. I speak with him fairly often on different issues.

    Actions speak louder than words.
