LaRue won't fulfill MD orders

Today was the first I had heard of this and I'm glad to see LaRue do the right thing.

I was honestly shocked that LaRue would take that stance... I could see telling LEO to suck it but they have always been awesome with customers and seems to have an understanding of how to give a big "F You" to the antis.

Maybe I'm a little biased though because Mark LaRue responded to one of my posts on AR15.com a long time ago and offered to replace an ARMS mount I had issues with, with one of his mounts at no cost to myself.

I've bought a few other LaRue products since then and they have always been excellent.

Can't afford a whole LaRue rifle, but it's good to know that I can still refer their products to others...

So larue didnt do what everyone jumped to the conclusion that they did? So everyone was ready to hang the company over hearsay on the internet? Does anyone have the integrity to apologize?

Ok so many other times on here people want to hear the facts before making a judgement. But today want to crucify a good company for something someone else said on a forum.... They did. They told us they wouldn't fulfill our orders.
It took 16 pages on arfcom to force them to comment.

Notice they didn't say that we were wrong? they said they were sorry for the confusion.

I bet if i hadn't started that thread and bombed it none of would have ever seen our rifles.

ETA: I'm honestly happy for you and I hope you are enjoying your new home. I'm glad that at least some of the people who want to get out have been able to do so. Cool, Ill keep my order in then (only ordered it in April 2013 ). . . but, in the mean time, if I see a SR-25 ECC lying around (fat chance! ) I might just grab that and cancel the LaRue. . . all of this is, of course, after I pay off my pre Oct 1 binge of AKs, Lowers and ammo.

Stick with LaRue over KAC for the 7.62, I think you'll be happier.

And I'm glad to see LT did the right thing, I thought they would. Everyone in this industry makes mistakes and BS laws make it tougher still.

Really pumped to see them announce that they're considering an HBAR line. That should help any haters realize they're actually on our side, and working to help.

It is our intent to offer this to Maryland customers who have been in line for rifles with a similar (non-H-BAR) profile. Any future H-BAR configuations will need to be compliant with any MD laws at the time of shipment.

I dont know occbrain. I have no idea if hes lying on not. But i would think youd want to go off more than what 1 person said.

Take note. MD is a lost cause, and its not just because of the laws, taxes, etc.

Again, so what are the underlined bold statements above? Maybe im misunderstanding. Please clear it up for me. But it seems that Larue WILL still send you your order as long as it was made prior to Oct 1. I stood up for larue. Have some integrity. Everything i said was true. Everyone bashed the company for something that is sorted out as stated above. Unless theres a part to this im missing. I dont see the problem.

If the LaRue is 1-3 years out I might end up with both At least thats the ultimate plan my crazy brain has come up with lol. If my savings account says $5k ish before the LaRue hits my card and it still looks like the LaRue is a ways off, well. . . I cant let that money sit there and do nothing

Ok, a little background (and Brian doesn't need defending, least of all by me): First off, OCCBrian has been a stalwart on the fight against gun control in Maryland. Literally every day I showed up to the legislature he was there, even on days when no bills were being discussed. Also, if you would look very carefully at the LaRue thread on arfcom, Brian monitors and updates a very extensive listing of LaRue firearms in the que for production. He is an ADAMANT supporter of the brand and has been for a very long time. When he puts up a post saying they aren't shipping to Maryland, it's NOT based on rumor, conjecture, or voodoo. Because I know the man's character, I already knew he wouldn't say such a thing in an open forum without confirming it directly.

He called LaRue and LaRue TOLD HIM he was SOL. It wasn't a guess, temper tantrum, or a wild guess he pulled out of his ass.

Your bold quote you keep asking about came only after HOURS (almost a full day) of discussions on the topic.

As soon as LaRue clarified (changed) their position, EVERYONE gave them credit. You on the other hand made it a point to continue to instigate a fight.

So if you are truly trying to understand, then there you have it.
