LAI importer, Albany NY ???

I'm redoing my inventory and i was trying to put the address for the imported rifles in the notes. My 1922 Izhevsk has LAI Albany NY on it but i can't find any info on them. Anyone know anything about LAI?

Albany NY or Albion NY? I ask because Liberty Arms International out of TX used to import out of Albion NY.

I think that's CAI = Century Arms International.

I've never seen CAI with a Albany NY mark... only Georgia VT and St Albans VT. I have family up that way and keep dreaming of going to work for them.

Casual Observer is correct it is LAI Albion NY, not Albany. They started in Albion NY and later moved to Victoria TX.

LAI imported a ton of mosins. really nice quality. thats where the nice ones keep shooting sold came from iirc.

I don't think the ffl thing was their primary business, more like they import anything and got a ffl to sell a ton of mosins they lucked into. iirc their mosin stash was huge.

This is it, i got this in the 2nd group buy from Keepshooting. Should have included that info, sorry. The mark is Albany.

Liberty Arms used to be based in NY and then moved to Texas as far as we know they are the same firm.

it doesnt matter much anyway, put down whatever is on the import mark, thats all the info you need.
