Mods: please feel free to move location if National2A is not appropriate.

I've lived in MD for almost two decades now, but I was born and raised in Maine. Many people who have traveled to Maine have stopped at the Kittery Trading Post for their hunting/fishing/outdoors needs. I grew up about 20 minutes from KTP, so it was my go-to for all of the above, and I still visit there multiple times per year when I go to visit friends and family. Due to recent tragedies, some are calling for a boycott of KTP because they sell "assault-style weapons and high-capacity magazines" (a peition's words, not mine). The petition created for the boycott has garnered about 3600 signatures as of this posting.

I have created a counter petition, calling for KTP to uphold their traditions and support 2A.

Any signatures we could get to get the ball rolling and let KTP know we are here and support them would help. Without our voices all they hear is the braying of those who would see our 2A rights taken away.

    Thanks in advance.

    Done.

Kittery Trading Post was my go to store when I was stationed in Brunswick. I bought my first Dillon 550 there.

Done. Love the KTP, be going back this summer. Stop on the way up, and back. Stick to your guns boys, this is going too far.

Thirty years ago, I had to educate the owners of Kittery Trading Post and their wholesale arm, Shawmutt Industries about curio and relic firearms. I met with the president and, after explaining about C&R firearms and the 03 FFL, he changed the company policy and they started selling to C&R holders. I have given them a lot of business over the years and found they were an forthright company.

The counter-petition (for KTP to keep selling modern firearms) is now over 10,000 signatures, while the original petition/boycott is at 6,900 signatures. To those who have signed, thank you! Please continue to spread the word. It's time for those of us who support 2A to stop holding our tongues. If you haven't yet signed, please do!
