I'm sure this will lead to an instant check and removal of the 7 day wait since the "reason" for it was to let MSP have enough time to receive, do the checks, and return via US postal.

Yes, I also heard that the 7 day wait was for receipt, process and return. I hope that this is the reason on public record as well. Might as well make the fight for it if they give us the ammunition.
